Today, we joyfully celebrated the 79th Independence Day of our nation along with the Feast of the Assumption of Mother Mary. The day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the grotto, presided over by Fr. Rodger, invoking God’s blessings upon our country and all its citizens.
After the Mass, the national flag was hoisted by Fr. Sunoj Kadapputhalackal, who also conveyed his greetings and good wishes to everyone present. The solemn moment of saluting the tricolour was followed by singing of the National Anthem, filling every heart with pride and patriotism.
The Philosophy brothers added beauty to the celebration by delivering inspiring speeches and rendering melodious patriotic songs, rekindling the spirit of freedom and unity.
As it was a free day, the community followed the free day timetable, spending the day in joy, fraternity, and gratitude for the gift of freedom. The celebration was a blend of faith and patriotism, reminding us not only of our nation’s freedom but also of our spiritual calling to live as children of God under the guidance of our Blessed Mother Mary.
