This evening we celebrated the most awaited Pre-Independence Day Programme, called Vande Mataram 2025, in preparation for the 79th Independence Day of our country. The programme began at 5:30 pm with the prayer song and lighting of the lamp. The chief guest of the evening was Adv. P.K. Satyanathan, who was warmly welcomed by the community.
The theme of the programme was “संस्कृति के रंग, भारत के संग”, which means the colours of culture with the unity of India. All the Samajs came forward with their cultural presentations. The items included songs, dances, skits, and traditional performances which brought out the unity in diversity of our nation. Each Samaj prepared with great dedication and enthusiasm, making the evening lively and colourful.

The chief guest, in his message, encouraged everyone to remain loyal citizens and contribute to the progress of our country. The Rector also shared his message, connecting culture, faith, and patriotism.
The programme came to an end by 7:50 pm. Fathers, sisters, and brothers from different study houses and ashrams joined us, along with friends of the brothers. The seminary campus was filled with joy and patriotism, and the evening was remembered as a true celebration of freedom and culture.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The future depends on what you do today.” This Pre-Independence Day celebration reminded us of our responsibility to live with peace, unity, and love for our nation.
