Today at St. Charles Seminary, Nagpur, we celebrated the solemnity of St. John Mary Vianney, the patron of all priests. It was also the cassock day for the first year theology brothers. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist, which was presided over by Archbishop Elias Gonsalves. During the Mass, the brothers received the cassock for the first time, signifying an important step in their formation.
After the Holy Eucharist, Archbishop Elias Gonsalves felicitated the brothers in front of the statue of St. John Mary Vianney. This was a joyful and proud moment for all of us. The celebration continued with the cutting of the cake and a photo session to remember the occasion. Along with this, we also wished Sr. Ankita, who celebrated her birthday today, making the day even more special.
It was a free day for the brothers, giving them time to relax, share their happiness, and spend time together in fellowship. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and gratitude to God for His blessings.
The brothers who received the cassock were:
