Marathi Sneha Samaj Day & Advent Talk

“Unity in diversity is the strength of our community.”

On 1 December 2025, our seminary joyfully celebrated the Marathi Sneha Samaj Day. The Holy Mass was celebrated in Hindi by Fr. Julius Daniel from the Archdiocese of Nagpur. During the Mass, the brothers sang hymns in Marathi, which gave a meaningful cultural touch to the celebration. After the Mass, our Rector, Fr. Aquin Noronha, felicitated Fr. Julius with a shawl and a bouquet as a gesture of gratitude and respect.

In the evening, the community gathered for the Advent Talk, which was given by Fr. George. As we began the season of Advent, he explained the real meaning of Advent and reminded us that Advent is a time of waiting, watching, and preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus. He spoke about the three comings of Christ:

1. His historical coming in Bethlehem,

2. His spiritual coming into our hearts each day, and

3. His final coming at the end of time.

Fr. George encouraged us to prepare our hearts with sincerity, prayer, and repentance so that the Lord may find a place in our lives. He also reflected on the verse from Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” He reminded us that Jesus constantly waits at the door of our hearts, inviting us to open our lives to Him with faith and readiness. The talk helped the community enter the Advent season with deeper awareness and devotion.
