On the morning of August 15, 2024, St. Charles Seminary joined the nation in celebrating India’s 78th Independence Day with reverence, gratitude, and patriotic spirit. The flag hoisting ceremony, held in the seminary campus, was a solemn and proud moment, honouring the sacrifices of freedom fighters and celebrating the values of unity, justice, and peace.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag, accompanied by the national anthem and a salute to the tricolour. The fluttering flag served as a powerful symbol of the nation’s resilience and progress. Seminarians, formators, and staff stood in respect, reflecting on the blessings of freedom and the responsibilities it brings.
Short speeches, patriotic songs, and moments of silent prayer marked the occasion, blending national pride with a spirit of spiritual reflection. The event served as a reminder that love for the nation is deeply connected with service, faith, and commitment to the common good.
Independence Day 2024 at St. Charles Seminary was not only a tribute to the past but also a call to build a future rooted in truth, compassion, and justice.
