CTF Homily Interhouse competition

Carolian Theological Forum organized an Inter- House Homily Competition on 26th November 2021. The competition was held in Aula Magna, commenced at 6 o’clock in the evening. The occasion was graced with the presence of many dignitaries, Fr. Prasad George O.P, the provincial of Dominicans in India, Fr. Aquin Noronha, the Rector of St. Charles Seminary, Fr. Thomas Joseph, the moderator, Fr. Ranjith, Sr. Saviola, Mis. Viannah, the judges and other fathers and sisters.

Having welcomed the dignitaries and contestants the rules of the competition were read out.  The topic for the English homily was “Being a good Samaritan during COVID-19” and the topic for the Hindi homily was Samsar Mem Dhukh Kyom? Ek Christiya Paribhasha”.

The contestants were the following brothers: Sahaya Ajith, Sanjay Peter, Nicholas, Oscar, Srikanth, Bala Sandeep, Deepak, and Lourdusamy. Questions based on the homily were displayed for the audience to answer. The moderator, while addressing the gathering, congratulated and encouraged the brothers for their marvelous performance. The Rector too had a few words of encouragement. Br. Len, the president of CTF announced the results. First prize for English homily went to Dn. Lourdusamy from St. Charles Seminary, second prize for Br. Sreekanth, Palotine for Vijayavada Province and third prize for Br. Sahaya Ajith, OP from St. Dominic’s Ashram. The first prize for the Hindi homily was bagged by Br. Deepak Lobo, OP from St. Dominic’s Ashram, second prize by Br. Sanjay Peter from St. Charles Seminary and third prize for Br. Oscar, from Norbertine Study House. The overall championship went to St. Charles Seminary. Towards the end Bro. Sandeep from second year philosophy was given prize for answering the questions displayed for the audience. Fr. Prasad George and Fr. Aquin Noronha. Distributed the prizes. Bro. Roy, the secretary of CTF proposed the vote of thanks. The inter- house homily competition was concluded by CTF anthem by the second-year theologians. The whole program was compeered by Br. Kshitiz.
