Carolian Theological Forum (CTF) is one of the most active and vibrant platforms for the brothers of St. Charles Seminary. It helps them to form character, strengthen their lifestyle, build confidence, and grow in wisdom.
The inaugural ceremony of the Carolian Theological Forum (CTF) for the academic year 2023-2024 was held on July 12, 2023, in the esteemed presence of Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha, O.P., Rector of St. Charles Seminary and the Patron of CTF, Rev. Fr. Charles Savarimuthu, O.P., the Director of CTF, and the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Thomas K.M., O.P., Dean of Theology, and Dn. Showry Stalin Yadala, S.A.C., the President of CTF. The main purpose of the ceremony was to welcome the first-year theology brothers to the CTF family.
The meeting began with the invocation of God’s presence by brothers of second-year theology. Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha, O.P., Fr. Charles Savarimuthu, O.P., Fr. Thomas KM, O.P., Dn. Showry Stalin, S.A.C., and Bro. Shom, the prefect of 1st-year theology, together lit the lamp and thus officially inaugurated the new academic year of CTF 2023–2024. Bro. Jaimy James welcomed the gathering. Bro. Lazary V.C. read out the annual report for 2022-2023, and Dn. Showry Stalin SAC, President of CTF, presented the objectives of CTF and welcomed the newcomers into the CTF family. This year, we are grateful to have 23 first-year theology brothers as new members of CTF.

Rev. Fr. Thomas K.M., O.P., presented the paper titled “Let There Be Light”. His thoughts enlightened us spiritually and made our ceremony a memorial one. Later, the brothers clarified their doubts regarding the topic. After the presentation by Fr. Aquin Noronha, O.P., the patron of CTF addressed the gathering. In his address, he exhorted the CTF members to make use of every opportunity given by this forum in the best way possible. He also wished everyone a fruitful year of growing wisdom and understanding. Brothers of 1st Year Theology entertained us with a beautiful song. A video was also played, which gave a glimpse of activities in 2022–2023. Bro. Vishal Kapse thanked everyone, and the ceremony ended with the CTF anthem.
