CELA Inter- House Elocution Competition 2023-24 was held on September 29, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in Aula Magnia. Br. Soumik Mondal anchored the whole programme. The event was initiated by the lighting of the lamp by the Rector, Rev.Fr. Aquin Noronha O.P, Rev.Fr. Anil Prakash D’ Souza O.P, the moderator of the event along with Rev. Fr. Saju Kochuparambil, Sr. Sophia Rose D’ Souza and Br. Edwin Abraham. Br. Albinus Xess delivered the words of welcome, followed by the introduction of the Chief Guest and the jury members by Br. Amit Masih The report of the previous CELA Inter – House Elocution Competition 2022-23 was presented by Br. Rafael, the Secretary of CELA. Ten brothers, two from each study house spoke and showcased a great performance on the topic “St. Thomas Aquinas: A synthesizer of Faith & Reason.”Later Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D’Souza O.P shared his views on the topic which was followed by a video presentation. Rev.Fr. Aquin Noronha O.P, the Rector felicitated the moderator along with the jury members. Br. Donald Remi, the co-director of CELA declared the results of the essay-writing competition along with the elocution results. Br. Joel Philip from St. Charles Seminary won the first prize, Br. Rojin Regi from St. Charles Seminary won the second prize and Br. Pasala Marian from P.S.D.P. won the third prize. The over-all championship was achieved by St. Charles Seminary brothers (Br. Joel Philip and Br. Rojin Regi). In essay-writing competition among 1st year Philosophy batch, brothers Amit Masih, Rohit Bandra and Preet Minj won first, second and third prizes respectively. Among 2nd Year philosophy batch, brothers Tarun Lakra, Subilash Bar and Dinesh Khadiya won first, second and third prizes respectively, and among 3rd year philosophy batch, brothers Soumik Mondal, Rajesh Naskar and Nilesh Toppo won first, second and third prizes respectively. Br. Gautam Kumar proposed the vote of thanks and the event concluded with the CELA Anthem.
