On 2nd of July 2023, the Rosary Parish organized a peaceful rally at Seminary Hills, Nagpur. The rally was organized keeping in mind the sufferings faced by the Christians at Manipur. All the fathers, brothers and sisters belonging to St. Charles seminary have also participated in the rally.
Later, all who participated in the rally also attended the talk given by Rev. Fr. Praveen Monthero, O.P who enlightened everyone about the dreadful situation faced by the Christians in Manipur. According to the Constitution of India, every citizen has the right to religious freedom; but it is now being deprived for the people of Manipur. Rev. Fr. Praveen O.P. made us aware that many Catholic churches and institutions were getting destroyed, thousands of Christians were left homeless and about hundreds of them even lost their lives due to the ongoing riots; and though it has been going on for the past 3 months least of the suffering have been shown in the social media and in the newspapers.
The rally was concluded with a short prayer and blessing by Rev. Fr. Ivan Rodrigues O.P. for invoking one and all to establish true Peace and Justice in the state of Manipur.
