As part of its ongoing commitment to theological enrichment and spiritual formation, the Catholic Theological Forum (CTF) of St. Charles Seminary organized a thought-provoking seminar on the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network for the academic year 2024–2025.
The session was led by a priest, who offered deep insights into the mission, vision, and spiritual significance of the global prayer initiative entrusted to the Society of Jesus. The seminar highlighted the importance of praying for the monthly intentions of the Holy Father, promoting a culture of compassion, justice, and global solidarity.
Through scriptural reflections, theological grounding, and real-life applications, the priest speaker guided the seminarians to understand how the Church, united in prayer, participates in Christ’s mission of service to the world. The seminar also introduced the concept of the “Way of the Heart,” a spiritual pathway central to the network’s identity.
The event inspired seminarians to integrate intentional prayer into their daily spiritual life and to embrace a broader awareness of the Church’s global concerns. It was both informative and spiritually enriching, reinforcing the seminary’s goal of forming future priests who are prayerful, globally minded, and pastorally sensitive.
