Carolian Theological Forum (CTF) conducted the Marian Quiz Competition on 17th January 2023. The participants in the competition were the resident brothers of philosophy and theology at St. Charles Seminary. A short CTF video was shown before we started the competition. And we began the competition with a prayer to the Holy Spirit. Bro. Kishore from 1st year theology welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha, O.P., the Rector of St. Charles Seminary, was the chief guest for the competition, and Rev. Fr. Charles Savarimuthu, O.P., was the quiz master for the competition.
There were six teams consisting of five members, each representing their batch. After an exciting and challenging competition, Bro. Showry Stalin Yadala S.A.C., the president of CTF, announced the results of the competition. The prizes were distributed as follows: the Brothers of 1st-year Theology won the 1st prize as champions, the Brothers of 3rd-year Philosophy won the 1st runners-up, and the Brothers of 1st-year philosophy won the 2nd runners-up, respectively.
Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha, O.P., the Rector of St. Charles Seminary and the chief guest of the day, distributed the prizes, appreciated the brothers for their participation, and encouraged all the brothers with his words of wisdom. The program became a great success because of the joint effort of the members of CTF and first-year theology brothers. Bro. Joachim Paswan thanked everyone with his words of gratitude, and the competition concluded with the CTF anthem.
